Nasaiah Algarin is a senior at American University studying Public Relations & Strategic Communication. His interests center on communications, education, community engagement, and creating greater access to opportunity. He has gained experience across corporate, government, nonprofit, and higher education settings, including with Adobe, Apple’s Community Education Initiative, and the DC State Board of Education. At American University, Nasaiah has held several student leadership and advisory roles focused on inclusive excellence, student experience, and campus engagement.

As a first-generation college student with Puerto Rican and Cape Verdean roots, he is especially passionate about representation and the ways communications can help communities feel seen, informed, and included. After graduation, he hopes to continue building a career that brings together strategic communication, education, and social impact.
